Choosing the right shipping method

Every company distributes merchandise differently depending on employee locations, office structure and how involved the internal team wants to be in the fulfillment process.

Launch offers multiple shipping methods designed to support different types of employee programs, whether your team is fully remote, office-based or spread across multiple locations.

The right shipping method often depends on:

  • Where employees are located
  • How merchandise will be distributed
  • Whether internal teams want to manage distribution
  • Shipping budget preferences
  • The size and structure of the employee program

Individual Shipments

Individual Shipments are best for companies that want orders shipped directly to employees.

Orders are professionally picked, packed and shipped directly to each employee’s preferred shipping address, creating a streamlined experience for both employees and admins.

This shipping method is commonly used for:

  • Remote teams
  • Hybrid workplaces
  • Employee gifting programs
  • Onboarding kits
  • Ongoing company stores

Because Launch handles the fulfillment and distribution process directly, companies avoid the operational workload of sorting and redistributing merchandise internally.

Individual Shipments are priced at $18 per employee order within the United States.

Multiple Location Shipments

Multiple Location Shipments are designed for companies with multiple physical office locations.

Employees are assigned an office location tag within Launch, allowing employee orders to be automatically grouped and shipped together to the corresponding office location.

This shipping method is commonly used for:

  • Regional offices
  • Hybrid workplaces
  • National employee programs
  • Multi-office company distributions

Multiple Location Shipments help companies organize office-based deliveries without routing all merchandise through one central location.

Multiple Location Shipments are priced at $6 per employee order within the United States.

Single Location Shipments

Single Location Shipments allow all employee orders to be shipped together to one office or delivery location.

This is a traditional bulk shipment where all merchandise is packed together and delivered to one destination selected by the company. Once the shipment arrives, the merchandise is distributed internally by the company’s team.

Unless Pre-Pack service is selected, employee orders are not individually separated or labeled when delivered.

Single Location Shipments are commonly used for:

  • Company headquarters
  • Office events
  • Employee pickups
  • Internal merchandise distributions

Single Location Shipments are priced at $3 per employee order within the United States.

When to use Pre-Pack service

Pre-Pack service is available for both Multiple Location Shipments and Single Location Shipments.

With Pre-Pack enabled, employee apparel orders are individually bagged and labeled by employee name before arriving at the delivery location. This makes internal distribution substantially easier once shipments arrive.

Pre-Pack service is priced at $7 per employee order and applies to apparel items only.

Companies managing larger employee programs, office events or apparel-heavy distributions may benefit from using Pre-Pack service to simplify internal organization once shipments arrive.

Shipping preferences can be changed

Shipping preferences within Launch are flexible and can be updated as company distribution needs change over time.

For example, a company may choose:

  • Individual Shipments for holiday gifting
  • Multiple Location Shipments for quarterly office distributions
  • Single Location Shipments for company events or internal handouts

Shipping preferences can be updated after a store closes or while a store is paused. However, shipping methods cannot be changed while a store is actively open and accepting employee orders.

This flexibility allows companies to adjust fulfillment workflows based on different launches, employee programs and seasonal distribution needs throughout the year.
