International shipping

Launch supports international shipping for employee orders using Individual Shipments as the shipping preference.

International orders are professionally packed and shipped directly to employees using DHL Express, allowing companies to support employees located outside of the United States while maintaining a streamlined employee experience.

International shipping typically requires a few additional business days compared to domestic U.S. shipments due to customs processing and international carrier requirements.

How international shipping works

When international shipping is enabled, employee orders are shipped directly to the employee’s international address using DHL Express.

Because international shipments require additional customs documentation and carrier processing, Launch collects:

  • International shipping address
  • Recipient phone number
  • Country-specific shipment information

International shipping charges are billed separately from domestic U.S. shipments because final shipping costs vary based on:

  • Destination country
  • Shipment dimensions
  • Package weight
  • Duties and taxes (DDP)

Because final shipping costs cannot be calculated until shipments are prepared and processed, international shipping charges are added to the company invoice after shipment.

Duties and taxes (DDP)

Launch ships international orders using DDP (Delivered Duties Paid) by default.

With DDP shipping, duties and taxes are prepaid before delivery to help avoid customs delays, unexpected charges or carrier holds once the shipment arrives in the destination country.

While DDU (Delivered Duties Unpaid) may be available by request in certain situations, Launch generally recommends DDP because it creates a smoother and more reliable delivery experience for employees.

Even with DDP enabled, customs processing timelines may vary depending on the destination country and local customs requirements.

International delivery timelines

International shipments typically require a few additional business days compared to domestic U.S. shipments, although timelines may vary depending on destination country and customs processing.

Delivery timelines may vary depending on:

  • Destination country
  • Customs processing
  • Carrier transit times
  • Local delivery conditions
  • Remote delivery regions

While DHL Express provides fast international transit times, customs clearance and international carrier processing can occasionally create delays outside of Launch’s control.

Employees should also expect a signature requirement upon delivery for most DHL Express international shipments.

International shipping availability

Launch can generally support international shipping anywhere DHL Express currently services.

However, international shipping availability may occasionally change depending on:

  • Carrier restrictions
  • Customs regulations
  • Regional delivery limitations
  • International trade conditions

Certain countries or delivery regions may require additional review before shipment processing.

Best practices

  • Collect accurate international shipping addresses before employees place orders
  • Require recipient phone numbers for international deliveries
  • Use DDP shipping to reduce customs delays and delivery issues
  • Allow additional transit time for international employee orders
  • Review international shipping availability before opening your store
