Artwork guidelines and best practices

Launch accepts several artwork file types that can be used across your employee store products. For the best product mockups and decoration results, we strongly recommend uploading high-resolution artwork with a transparent background whenever possible.

Using clean, high-quality artwork helps improve how logos appear across apparel, drinkware, bags, hats, and promotional products.

Supported File Types

Launch currently accepts the following logo file formats:

  • PNG
  • JPG
  • JPEG
  • SVG

Uploaded logos can then be assigned to products throughout your store during product customization.

For the best results, we strongly recommend:

  • High-resolution artwork
  • Transparent background files
  • Clean, simplified logo variations when needed

Transparent PNG and SVG files typically provide the cleanest appearance across product mockups and branded merchandise.

PNG vs JPG vs SVG

PNG

Best for:

  • Transparent backgrounds
  • Product mockups
  • Most general logo uploads

PNG files are the most commonly used logo format inside Launch.

JPG / JPEG

Best for:

  • Simple artwork previews
  • Non-transparent artwork

JPG files do not support transparent backgrounds and may appear with white background boxes depending on the logo artwork.

SVG

Best for:

  • Sharp scaling across sizes
  • High-quality vector artwork
  • Cleaner logo rendering

SVG files maintain clarity when resized and are ideal for crisp branding across products and storefront visuals.

Why Artwork Quality Matters

Low-quality artwork can affect:

  • Product mockups
  • Logo clarity
  • Small logo placements
  • Overall store presentation

Blurry, pixelated, or low-resolution logos may not appear optimal across your products.

For the best employee experience, we recommend uploading the highest-quality artwork available.

Artwork Support for Growth and Scale Plans

If lower-quality artwork is uploaded, the Launch art team may proactively reach out to help optimize your files on Growth and Scale plans.

This may include:

  • Artwork cleanup
  • Background removal
  • File optimization
  • Logo recreation recommendations
  • Guidance for improved product presentation

Best Practices

For the best results:

  • Upload high-resolution artwork whenever possible
  • Use transparent PNG or SVG files when available
  • Avoid screenshots or compressed images
  • Use simplified logo versions for smaller placements
  • Review product mockups before saving products to your store
